Here's how to get involved.....

Ok, so you think this year's carnival needed that little bit of a "something" and you know just how you can help us achieve it! So, what do you do?
Well, I can tell you from all the comments I have personally recieved that there are plenty of people out there who "know what's wrong" but, sadly, very few are willing to come forward and help.

Sadly, the Committee consists of approximately twelve people. Yes....twelve! Worse, if we break that down into age most are around or older than retirement age. Three are in their fifties, and the rest are...er, younger. So, as you can see we need a few extra bodies. If twelve people can make this carnival good what could twenty do?

The Carnival will only happen with dedicated volunteer's who join the committee for about two hours a month on a Friday night and actively get involved. We are not asking you to "re-invent the wheel" or "Move Heaven and Earth" just come along, bandy idea's about, be prepared for some knocks but if you have "that idea" on "that night" we want to hear about it!

Then, of course, we need all the volunteers we can muster for Carnival day. We start at seven in the morning and work right through till eight at night. There is lots to do and the more the merrier, and easier, it will be. So if nothing else come along then and help....and if you have family that are strong and willing, bring them too.

However, you may be a tradesman who can help with electric's or float building. A manager who could organise traffic management, health and safety paperwork or letter writing. Are you a member of an organisation that may wish to partake in the Carnival? Examples would be like the Church or School's, local businesses, amateur dramatic's, band's, choir's and societies. The list is endless but you must all have one thing in common....commitment for one or more years.
