Warranty Frequently Asked Questions

The following Multipla problems have been put right under warranty by Fiat owned or franchise garages. If your car is in warranty and is in need of repair, let the garage know in advance that this is a warranty claim. This will allow them to get authorisation from Fiat UK.

Problem: Clutch fault
Reason: Clutch master cylinder return spring broken	Solution: On earlier models the master cylinder spring can break in normal use. If your car is in warranty this will save you pounds; because it is not quick a DIY job.

Problem: Radio/CD speaker going off
Reason: Radio/CD left speaker switches off when rear wiper is used.	Solution: This has been cured by replacing the Radio/CD head unit. All other attempts to fix the problem have failed.

Problem: Seat covers
Reason: Premature wearing of 'flock' seat covers.	Solution: This is due to a faulty material and has been withdrawn from sale. Get all seat covers replaced with a alternative if you can or have the faulty seat cover replaced (usually drivers seat) and cover it with a seat protector

Problem: Sunroof rattle
Reason: Sunroof frame faulty	Solution: This requires the head line to be removed and the faulty frame replaced. Get it fixed under warrany or it will drive you mad!

Problem: Wing mirrors out of sync
Reason: Mirrors mechanism faulty	Solution: If the mirrors are out of sync (one in one out) the can be fixed by the garage. Usually one or both mirrors are replaced, don't accept a temporary fix.
