We are proud to have recieved sponsorship this year from T J Vickers of Telford and Shrewsbury.
Having bought both of my Multipla's from T J Vickers, unusually one from each depot, and having had a "few" teething problems with the first one nick named "The Critter" I quickly learnt that all Main Dealers are not equal!! Driving the thirty miles to Vickers' was not unacceptable but with three local dealers, yes I have three, it was deemed not necessary. However, it soon transpired my three main dealers were, to put it kindly, not very impressive. One I actually accused of being a "bunch of bandits" and threatened legal action!
So, I bit my lip and the car was AA relayed over to Vickers in Telford which, although not the dealership I actually bought "the critter" from it was the one nearest to me. I was quickly sorted out, which was nice as I was supposed to go on holiday a few days later. However barring a bit of frustrated shouting as Fiat had no parts in the country,(!) between us, we sourced a part, had it delivered and it was fitted saturday morning and the family Moriarty went on holiday... Result!!
Sadly, this became a common trend with "The Critter" It broke down regularly and one by one the local dealerships and one independant seemed to give up on the car...and yet again it was trailored over to "TJ's" where I would vent my spleen until I had calmed down. A couple of coffee's later and I would be sent home in yet another courtesy car.
To give Vickers their due, they worked on the car for three days changing this, changing that, untill I had the call to collect "The Critter"...I never looked back. They had cracked it and the car ran brilliantly until the day I sold it back to them four years later!
Hence, why I went to them again when I bought "Nobby the nosejob" (Nobby from New Orleans Blue and nosejob because its a mark two facelifted Multi! Obvious innit!??!)
So...I for one can only speak highly of TJ Vickers. They come across as friendly, very courteous and extremely professional...but above all I feel treated like a friend. Its weird...why are their not more dealers like that?
So, it came as no surprise to me when I found out that they were Fiats "Dealer of the year" in 2008 and that they offered to sponsor this years Ugly Bug Ball.
So to all the staff at both dealerships in Shrewsbury and Telford, on behalf of the Multipla Owners Club UK, I extend a big warm thankyou...

IIf you have kept up your reading of this website you will now know that we offer Insurance savings for Multipla owners and their Friends and Family!
Recently I heard of Chris Knott Insurance. I emailed them for details and the upshot of it is, is that after a long conversation with their sales guy the MultiplaOwners.co.uk site and theMultipla Yahoo forum will be able to offer a similar deal on car insurance as our "bigger sister" the Fiat Forum.
I say similar, but, inital talks suggest that we may be able to make savings of around fifteen percent NOT TEN due in part to the fact we drive a Multipla. Ie we are not as high a risk as some other cars. Furthermore, the profile of a Multi owner (?) is such that if we have an "Angelised" Multi we can probably have only a very small increase on the premium as it is not a performance increase for a "Boy Racer"!
E.G. Say, I am thinking of having a tune up to help with towing and generally make a more economical car. I am of an age where 160 bhp doesnt actually thrill me any more...but 145/150 and the resultant extra torque is usefull...as is the benefits of better fuel economy.
But it gets better...
Iif you insure your car through Chris Notts they will make a percentage donation to the Multipla Owners Club to go towards the charity that we support each year at the UBB and any other events. So...whether we earn fifty pounds or a thousand, the money they donate to us would go to OUR Charity what ever it is that year!
But there's more....
You've insured your Multi with them, we have had our donation, and your other half, next door neighbour, Uncle Fred or Great Aunt Sissy etc ( you get the picture) wants to renew their car insurance. If they ring up Chris Knott and mention the Multipla Owners Club...they make the saving and we get the donation for charity...WIN WIN situation...result!
