We are a unique band, playing material from a wide mix of genres.  Blending rock, Irish folk, funk, pop and blues - we provide a blend of music that is varied and unique yet danceable, accessible and universally accepted.
One thing is for sure, once you've witnessed the unique music of Tha Hoosemairtes - you won't forget them in a hurry! How can you describe them?  Rock 'n roll folk?  Folk/funk?!  Who knows, but - you won't see many bands where the audience play "air mandolin" to Whiskey in the Jar"! Whatever the setting, whatever the audience - Tha Hoosemairtes are the ultimate alternative for folk/rock music. They come equipped with a complete sound system, lights, smoke machine, and can also provide background music if required. They are ideal for Weddings, parties, dinner parties, clubs, pubs, Irish Theme nights - but could and would consider anything within reason, the sky is the limit!

The HM's are well established musicians in their own rights, each having extensive experience in various types of music. They are all of a professional standard, and hold positions in other bands. They have a unique chemistry, partly due to their shared experiences in Delta Blue, amongst others.

However, this band is something totally new to the band and their audiences!!

The key is entertainment and musicianship - this band is all about it, good showmanship, and communication with the audience! One of their highlights was playing for a famous German football team, and bringing down the house, almost literally!  Dave recalls "The place (Fir Tree, Arley) was heaving at the seams - the team were well oiled, and ready to sing their hearts out. We got them singing The Wild Rover back to us in German - it was totally magic! They were so courteous and the song went on for nearly ten minutes! Our ears were ringing afterwards, and the whole place erupted in beautiful song!   Even the people in the other bar, were singing at the top of their voices - there was no escape"!
