"Delta Blue are back"
After a long sabbatical, DB are back with a new line up,
and sound! With the addition of Darren on
guitar, DB are now a 4 piece again, and have
already played a surprise gig at "The Crew" in Nuneaton, to great
applause.
Darren is an incredibly gifted musician, and has brought something new
and
exciting to DB. (pix of Darren to follow girls!)
New set lists are under way, but they are still doing many of the old
classics. This will develop as they find their feet with the new line
up.
We also plan on putting in some more Mr Keith songs (from his solo album
Decay), whether he likes it or not! There are plenty of new gigs coming
up,
details to follow.
Darren has breathed new life into many of the old arrangments. We will
also
start to bring in more songs to showcase his talent, as he an
exceptional gift.
Duncan as always, is an enthusiasm factory, pulling out all the stops,
and
never ceasing to amaze and inspire.
Warren, Dave and Darren are all fired up and ready to rock.
"The Ego free line up, is a rarity, and works very well because of the
interplay between the musicians. Every time we go out, things develop
and
evolve, and that for me is very exciting because it is never stagnant,
and
is challenging to me as a player. One problem with many bands is that
things are rehearsed to the point that they become routine, run of the
mill.
DB is all about interplay, improvisation and freedom.
There is a lot of
respect, friendship and creativity in this band - and it all comes
together
to produce something that has not fallen by the wayside, but refused to
give
up, despite me working two jobs, Dunc working every hour God sends, and
Warren being in numerous bands, and working away. We're still here, and
we're still doing it, and I think we have developed as people and
players in
the process".
